I just found out that he has died at 74......

my heart goes out to Kathryn. In the 90s I got to see first hand what a nice woman she is: she sent me cards encouraging me when I was trying to be a filmaker.
I must send her flowers, I hope she's OK.

I'm so sorry to hear this.  I remember being impressed by how Ms. Scott focused on her husband as she walked with him through the registration crowd at one of the Fests.

I just saw in Shadowgram what Geoff Miller's disease was.  (Hadn't read the LA Times article carefully.)  My father had the same disease.  It's very rare and very awful.  My heart goes out to Kathryn Leigh Scott for having had to live through it.
