Title: Carolyn and David
Post by: kuanyin on October 11, 2002, 02:37:33 AM
She "catches" him with a book on ghosts and wonders why he's interested? Ummmm, Carolyn dear, that is the most NORMAL thing we've seen in David.

When he asks if she's ever seen a ghost, she says "Why, have YOU?" Hello? You were there when Davey was making noises to anyone who would listen that all of his best friends were ghosts! C'mon, it hasn't been THAT long. For Davey's pals, Josette and little Sarah come to mind. I can't remember if he saw Bill Malloy or not, I know Vicky did. Any others since the beginning up to now? Other than Beth and Quentin, of course.

Kuanyin, I had the same thoughts when I heard Carolyn asked David that ridiculous question if he had ever seen a ghost before.  I mean Sarah was practically the only friend David had before Amy came along.

Did you notice though that he never did answer her?
I was hoping that he would have because I was curious as to his answer would have been.
It just proves that once again what a short memory these folks have. :-)

I laughed out loud at Carolyn repyling to David's question "Have you ever seen a ghost" with "Why, have YOU?" :-)

Carolyn saw Sarah and admitted it to Elizabeth; however, she was attacked by Barnabas shortly thereafter and withdrew her story, claiming she was merely trying to help David. Now no longer under Barnabas' power (and seemingly unaware that she ever was) - I can think of no reason why Carolyn wouldn't remember her ghostly encounter. Given that she's spent her life in Collinwood it's also unlikely she's never seen any other ghost.

The most common family trait of the Collins is DENIAL, however. No matter how many odd things happen to them, they continue to remain in denial. Apparently Carolyn is no exception.

They need a book like that around there, about ghosts and exorcisms. It should come in mighty handy!
