I think baby dolls are out but maybe an elegant ecru lace peignoir with a pima cotton gown topped with ecru lace straps.  Tres elegant with her red hair.

Yeah, it may been old, but did you see her come down stairs so that Barnabas could see her, and her nightie.  But everything aside, Dr. H. needs a new nightie.

Might as well get her one of those Laura Ashley jobbies from the 70's.....high victorian neck, long sleeves with ruffles, cotton so heavy you couldn't see through it with an x-ray machine.  She 'ain't gettin any' anyway...might as well be warm on those cold Maine nights...especially since she spends so many of them  wandering around the place!!

I agree!  This poor woman has really gotten the bottom of the barrel when it came to her wardrobe on the show! I think I've only seen her in maybe one or two outfits in which I actually like or look flattering on her.  With her nice slim shape, there could have been so many nice outfits she could have looked good in.

At least as the character of Natalie Dupre, she got to wear a little more fancy outfits than she did as Julia.
Well, even Natalie's nightgown was a bit fancier! ;-)

Dr. Hoffman's nighties would be ever so practical.  For the spring and summer, there would be the white cotton sleeveless gown, with perhaps a tiny little blue  bow modestly placed at the neckline with 3/4 length sleeves matching robe with the identical blue bow at the neckline.  However, she would splurge on the slippers! They would be a white satin quilted, small stacked heel that would show off her long slender feet so well. She strikes me as a very practical, cost conscious woman who would dress conservatively for the most part but splurge on accessories such as nice scarves, gloves and shoes.

That we need a whole new life? Being a stay-at-home, single Mom, my daughter pretty much is my life! After she grows up and leaves, who knows?

Julia99,
Most of the time we never actually see Julia even sleep, and if we do it is usually in the chair at the Old House. She is too busy to sleep!

Well she was a sleepin' when Willie tromped in there during the Tom Jennings days . . .she was asleepin' when Beth came callin. . i think there is a 3rd episode where we see Julia sleepin in her room, then there's her sleeping in 1840 when's she's sorta in a trance thing too . .crying 'cuz she sees David die .. . . .actually I think besides Victoria Winters. . we see the ever-nocturnal Dr. Hoffman going sleepybye in her room more than any other character. . .[sleep]

She was also sleepin' when Harry Johnson came in the Old House, to poison Joe Haskell.

In a scene not too long ago we saw Julia sleeping in her bed when she had that dream about Barnabas being in danger if he went on to investigate Nickolas' house as planned.  Julia tried to warn him not to go but of course he didn't listen and found Angelique waiting there at the Blair house for him.
