Title: OT: The Monster Channel
Post by: David on January 31, 2011, 12:46:58 AM
A new, 24/7 interactive channel dedicated to classic horror is now online.
For those who don't want to interact, you can bring up the current show full screen.
There is one connection to our board:
our own Penny Dreadful's Shilling Shockers is on the schedule.
Here it is:

Indeed, MB. And with the commercial networks showing less & less classic programming, this channel can fill a much needed niche!

Thanks for posting the link good sir!  They asked if they could run Shilling Shockers and are showing them in order starting from moldy oldie season 1, which contains a DS-themed episode taped outside Collinwood aka Seaview Terrace aka Carey Mansion.

I'm so digging The Monster Channel! I hope they can expand to cable & sattelite--it's like the TV I watched 40 years ago!

Some video of which that PennyDreadful herself shared is available in this post:
Shilling Shockers Video

The forum feature that plays the video isn't online at the moment (because we're waiting to correct it until we switch over to SMF 2.0). But if you copy/past the URL into your browser, the video should play if you have the correct plug-in installed.

There used to be a satellite MonstersHD channel two years or so ago that ran 24/7 horror movies. I loved that channel, but alas they shut down (I think) for financial reasons. Thanks for the link to this one! And congrats to Penny for the showing of Shilling Shockers!
