Well since we're cutting Vicki's tan shoes. . what was with Amy's lime green ones. . they didn't match her little jumper really. . :)
-
What's with all the lime green on the show PERIOD!!
It's enough to make you [puke]
And various related shades of that green are always showing up in other time periods i.e., Julia's awful green suit, and that green dress Angelique's always wearing in 1897. I don't ever remember seeing a nice shade of green on that show -- just ugly ones.

I kinda liked that dress...

And wasn't those LIME green shoe (ya know, the one Amy's was sporting) were just ugly. But, here's something.....Maggie was making a note (probably her unmentionable..sp..) for Joe to take to town and get a few things for her, anyway, she had on WHITE shoe. Maggie, Maggie, you know better than this. So with Maggie wearing WHITE shoes and Amy sporting them LIME green one, Joe was more then happy to go off to meet my fate just so I wouldn't have to take this ugly shoes and the wrong shoes.

Some people would have been better off being born without feet.

Come on people! I can't believe, that no one out there has a memory of the "LIME GREEN([puke]) FASHION BLOWOUT SALE!!" ORBACH'S had back in OCT. of 1967!!! [spidr]

At the time, I was about Amy's age. We shopped at Ohrbachs for our Easter dresses. One year, I bought a bright yellow dress similar to the one Liz wears(paisley with green and purple). My dress was bright yellow with red and orange. I was forced to wear unbearable itchy yellow fishnet leotards(heavier than pantyhose) and bright yellow shoes. I still have nightmares!

UGH!! No wonder Quentin doesn't look too happy.
She looks like a bowl of split pea soup.

Actually, the color might not look that bad on someone with dark hair, but with HER skin tone and hair color, it looks horrible IMHO.

The dress would have been fine if it had been one of at least five, but it's yet another outfit that the actress wore for weeks on end (I thought the bib dress was worse).

I didn't really pay attention to the shoes, but I liked the jumper and blouse, Amy had on. It brought back a flashback to those days. I wore those kind of jumpers and blouses at the time too.

I think Angelique only had two dresses for the entire 1897 storyline. Even if you at first did not like the dress on her, you did by the end of 1897...Besides there was too many other things going on to worry about the costumes.

Gee, I LOVED my fishnets! (Mine didn't itch though!) Especially when I finally got my pair of white gogo boots. Of course, they were out of style by the time I finally got them.
I think my Mom liked the fishnets for me as a transition from little girl socks to hose. One thing I did NOT like was the 3" indention from the garter belt thingamabob into my thigh. Ewwww, sitting on hard wood seats in school with those things was murder! I just have never been able to see garter belts as sexy....more like a torture device and I'm SO not into pain!

You were so lucky to get white go-go boots, kuanyin. I wanted a pair so much but my mom always said no yet she bought me those hideous yellow mary-janes that I only wore once at Easter. Thankfully, they were given to the Salvation Army which is probably where Amy's green ones went.

Angelique wore a bronze-y dress with off-white lace and chocolate brown trims for her midnite, er, midnight appearance in 1897. She looked fabulous in it, but unfortunately doesn't wear it again.

Perish the thought! :D

When I grew up, girls wore brown cotton long socks, during the week to school and white cotton long socks on Sunday. Held up with a garter belt contraption that went over your shoulders, sort of like an assortment of wide tape sewn together with garters on the bottom. Horrible thing.
I think panty hose are the best thing since sliced bread. If you can find a brand that is comfortable. About the time I find a style that is comfortable they quit making them.
This hasn't got anything to do with this topic, but I just saw the funniest thing on CNN in the news that crawls across the bottom of the screen. They have invented a toilet that evaluates what you leave in it, and if it sees any abnormalities it sends you and email that you need to see a doctor. What next. Gave me a good laugh.

Holy god, Tanis.....please tell us you're kidding......
What happens when the toilet springs a leak? You have to get a referral from Blue Cross to go to Home Depot?!!!!!!!!!!

I rather liked Naomi's dark green velvet dress. However, it does seem that green is the most popular color in Collinsport. Nobody there will have to worry about being pinched on St. Patrick's Day.

I don't know if it tends to it's own troubles or not. I swear I saw it on CNN. Rather funny considering what you usually see on CNN,

You're not imagining things, Tanis! I saw it, too. My interpretation was that it automatically checks the urine, and if anything is abnormal it automatically e-mails the DOCTOR!!

Hey, I'd rather watch a toilet than Larry King.
Anyway..... UH OH! We were watching today's tape at dinner, minding our own business, and what shows up?
Cassandra in the woods wearing that LIME GREEN dress.
HELP !!!

I remember having a new dark green velvet dress to wear to a Christmas party when I was about 17 or 18... I decided I must have green pantyhose to wear with it.. I scoured our small town looking for some and could only find one shade of green.. well...it wasnt quite the same shade as the dress but I was determined nothing but green would do! I am sure I looked like a leprechaun...lol ... Lord only knows what shoes I wore with it ...surely not another shade of green...arrrghhh

my daughter doesn't know how easy she has it but then she has no great show to run home too!

Good Lord! What will they think of next?!
Speaking of LIMEGREEN[/b] Just about every room that we see in the Collinsport Hospital is also this color!
And if that's not enough, in yesterday's episode when Liz was lying on the floor after Julia had just pronounced her dead, did anyone happen to catch Cassandra's lime green coat sitting right there in the backround?

Actually, Cassandra, I think that was supposed to be Amy's coat, discarded by Joe during his rush to get her out of the house. They do look alike; there must have been a sale on mother-daughter coats at Ohrbachs. ;)

I understand the toilet comes from Japan. It may even be a ''pull down' model. My mom tells me she heard that a family size home in Japan runs as big as 325 sq. feet. It would have to be of a rather small size with all it's gizmo's hooked up to on-board computers.
