[It's up to the first poster to come up with a set up, and then each following post will either complete it or fill in the blank(s). And, as always, whoever posts the set up is certainly allowed to post their own completion/fill in as a follow up.]

Complete this phrase: "Quentin could hardly wait to open the coffin that he'd dug up because, rather than a decayed body, he was certain it contained...!!"

Pez

[pointing-up] [lol2] [cheers]
It's too bad DC never thought to sell DS dispensers for Pez - I bet they would have sold infinitely better than that Vampire Van...
-
I certainly would have purchased one! Because, well, Pez!
-
([pointing-up] I would have definitely collected them!! But even though the Vampire Van was reissued a few years back, I still have no interest in it!! [nodno])
-
I would definitely agree with you on that, MB. If I thought that a DS item was junk (or something that I simply was not interested in) in 1970, my opinion is pretty much the same today.
-
([pointing-up] Exactly!! And considering how much of a completist I was about collecting DS stuff when I was a kid, not wanting the Vampire Van back then is really saying something!!)
-
I suppose that if we had purchased some of those items, we could have made some serious money on the resale market. I know that I considered myself past the age where I would be interested in owning a magic slate.

(Probably - and particularly if we'd never even bothered to open them!!)

Very true. I have recently begun replacing my collection of Disneykins. Prices fluctuate wildly on them. Though I certainly can't expect them to still go for the 1961 price of 15 cents!
