Title: Exclusive Interview with Dark Shadows 2004 Writer/Producer Mark Verheiden Posted
Post by: Ed Gross on November 16, 2010, 09:25:15 PM
I've just posted an unpublished interview I conducted with writer/producer Mark Verheiden regarding the 2004 Dark Shadows pilot. The interview was done before the pilot had begun filming. You can check it out at http://www.blogofdarkshadows.com. (http://www.blogofdarkshadows.com.)

Thanks for posting the interview.  [hall2_smiley]

I really enjoyed Verheiden's take on DS - especially his take on Roger vs. Barnabas. But alas...

Unfortunately I've never gotten the opportunity to see that 2004 pilot. My understanding of it, though, is that it doesn't really work.

The pilot definitely has its detractors. And is it perfect? No. But nothing is (certainly not hoDS - not by a long shot - and certainly not even the original daytime series). But there are those of us who really enjoy the pilot and understand what it was trying to do and where it was attempting to go. In fact, I would go so far as to say a majority of the members who post here share that view.
