(I and several other fans have often speculated that Frederick Thorn was the alias Quentin used before using Grant Douglas. The details we're given that Thorn had stashed away a large envelope that contained desperate letters from a girl wanting to know why Thorn abandoned her so quickly, a driver's license (which "clearly showed he didn't intend to drive anymore--he was born in 1942"), and a photograph cut from a newspaper of Olivia Corey would seem to suggest Quentin. After all, when it gets to the point that he's not aging, Quentin would have to completely abandon his current alias and create another.)

I've seen numerous fan fiction stories that address Quentin's missing years and gave him some interesting fake identities but I don't think that I've read one with the Frederick Thorne persona. I'd certainly be interested in reading one though.
