Title: OT -- Remembering Craig Hamrick Four Years Later
Post by: David on September 25, 2010, 04:38:19 PM: A Facebook friend reminded me that yesterday was the fourth anniversary of the passing of Craig Hamrick.
Craig, the author of the Louis Edmonds bio Big Lou, was one of the finest souls who ever graced DS fandom.

He'd be 43 now, and should be with us.

I had heard his partner Louis Salvatore was going to finish it, but I haven't heard a thing in several years. If he needs help, I'm more than willing to give assistance sine I live in the NYC area!

The original edition of the Barnabas book remains available at Amazon, as does Big Lou.
The update of the book never appeared.

I and my friends would've chatted with him more, but Diana Millay, who was sharing the table with him, "drafted" us to help unpack her stuff and put it up!

RIP, Craig, and condolences to Joe.

Post by: CastleBee on September 28, 2010, 12:32:53 PM: I remember seeing him in Tarrytown – I think about five years ago. I went back the next day to buy one of his books. He wasn’t there because he wasn’t feeling well. His mother was helping out at his booth and I spoke to her for a short time. A very nice woman. I read “Big Lou” last year and really enjoyed it. He was a very talented, nice guy and his death was a great loss.
