Hey gang,
That "History of the Collins Family Book" was a heck of a wedding gift that Eve sent to Vicky today. It was almost as "touching" as the skull with long black hair (Magda or Mrs. Johnson ancestor?) that Angelique sent to Josette as a gift.
I wonder what other types of gifts would be sent to some of the other prospective DS brides? For example, if Maggie were to marry Nicholas Blair, I suspect that Nicholas would send his future bride, a full color photograph of himself, one showing in great detail Nicky's "killer" smile.
Can you think of the types of gifts such prospective DS brides as Carolyn, Eve, Julia, Sarah Johnson, Portia Fitzsimmons, the widow Magda Racosi, etc. might receive from their fiances?

Eve a lifetime's supply of Woolite
Julia . .. ??? breath mints 'cuz of the smoking
Sarah Johnson. . perfume to cover up the smell of Pledge
Portia Fitzsimmons--i don't know her (yet)

If Elizabeth ever tied the knot again, I'd give her a video copy of Father of the Bride. She might get a kick outta the dame who played the wife of Spencer Tracy. Of course, it would be the original version, not the colorized Ted Turner thing.
Carolyn? A gift certificate from Bloomingdales. What do you get for a rich girl who's got everything? She'll probably have at least half-a-dozen blenders and toaster ovens to return anyway.
Sarah Johnson? Definitely a gift certificate from the local hair salon. If the tension gave out on that bun during her wedding, half the guests would be taken to emergency.
Magda? Well, if anyone could use a food processor, it would be her. She could whip up a whole lotta things in that.
Julia99 already got Eve the Woolite.
As for Dr. Julia Hoffman, for her wedding present I'd get her a husband.

I don't know who Portia Fitzsimmons is, and don't remember enough about Magda Racosi, but for the others, here goes.
Carolyn - A day at the local salon/spa
Eve- A fascinating landmark study of men and sex.
Julia- Dinner for 2 at the Collinsport Inn
Sarah Johnson- A new robe with matching slippers.

Carolyn--a diamond engagement ring from Tiffany's :)
Mrs. Stoddard--a blender :D
Magda--a treasure chest of stolen jewels :o
Julia--a love potion whipped up by Magda ;)

Well I think Carolyn could use a good cook book so she'll know how to make something else besides tea for a change. ::)
Eve could definetely use a whole new wardrobe.
Magda - A brand new Tarot Deck and The Hand of Count Petofi.
As for Mrs. Johnson, Im with Gerard on that one. I'd definetly give her a gift certificate to a very good hair salon. ;)
Poor Julia - I'd get her a couple of tickets to take a nice long vacation somewhere so she could get away from all that craziness at Collinwood! [spin] [rollb]

Portia Fitzsimmons, how soon they forget!
FYI, Portia Fitzsimmons was the coolly beautiful art dealer (and another one of those truly memorable, one episode DS wonders) who wanted to display (not to mention purchase) some of Sam Evans' paintings in her Boston (or New York?) studio during the first year of the show.
