whatever happened To "Dark Shadows.com" ? all i know is that the dude who ran it hadn't updated it since i think (2002)
but he kept the site running for years. cause it had w FANTASTIC episode guide that had what this or that episode was about. how many episodes this or that character had or were in.
it was an EXTREMELY useful site for someone who wants to read what the next episode is about while watching the show.
now i guess it's offline & i'm Quite Saddened to see that.

Go to
http://www.archive.org
There is a type box for "wayback machine" in the top area of the page. Type www.darkshadows.com in the box and click "take me back." This will take you to an archived results page which lists status results from 1996 onward. Just click on one of the listings, say from the height of the website's activity in 2005, and it will open a fully functioning archived version of the website!
Also,
www.nicholasmooneyhan.com/darkshadows
this has all of the eps in the descriptions written years ago by Tony Lew.

I discovered this way back machine a few months ago. It's quite wonderful!

One of those sites was run by this guy who came to a couple of Festivals and always had a laptop or maybe two set up in the lobby of the hotel. I remember well watching Sheenasma intensely posting a Festival update on one of those stations. The guy and his boyfriend were very interested in founding a DS Museum. Unfortunately they had a falling out with fandom and shortly afterwards the one who was the big fan died of some sudden illness. It was quite sad.

1st person i thought of when i read that was Craig H. who died a few years back of Cancer i believe. but he ran his own site. & i even talked with him a bit viva e-mail. he was nice guy. but i agree it is a shame that both men passed away. it would have been pretty cool to see a DS Musuem hmm... perhaps one day? he he [ghost_tongue2]
