Title: This might be a hopeful sign as...

(the new Depp/DS film's screenplay writer) Seth Grahame-Smith's The Hard Times of RJ Berger has been renewed by MTV:

Exclusive: Hard Times of RJ Berger renewed. (http://www.tvguide.com/News/Justin-Bieber-MTV-1021262.aspx)

(Although, something tell me the "big teen male audience" of the show isn't there because of anything having to do with Justin Bieber as I would strongly suspect his audience is mostly comprised of teen girls. But if anything about Grahame-Smith's writing can attract teen boys, that could bode well for the Depp/DS film, which will need to appeal to that segment of the move going audience if it's to be a really big hit.)

On the other hand, this probably isn't hopeful: Ask Matt (http://www.tvguide.com/News/Ask-Matt-Glades-1022113.aspx)
