Title: SHARING THE SHADOWS
Post by: VAM on August 28, 2002, 03:30:57 PM
If you were awarded a short stint on DS, which role or type of character would you like to portray (could be a new character),  in what storyline would it be, and whom would you want to play opposite? Have fun!

Role--long lost cousin from England (ingenue type) who
        takes up residence at Collinwood.

Storyline--pre 1795--the early eps are my favorite.

Plays opposite--Willie    :)

Role:....Willie's "kick-ass-take-names" kid sister.....come to drag him home to the 'family' business in Hell's Kitchen.

Storyline:....THIS one!  ANYTHING for some intentional humor!

Opposite:....Barnabas, Julia, Roger, Liz....anyone who's inflated sense of importance she can skewer. [smrtasy]

Angelique's REAL brother, who used voodoo for the cause of good way back in Martinique, resurrected to fight Nicholas (and straighten out his sister) alongside Barnabas, Stokes and Joolia!   8)

I will be Harry Johnson's girlfriend, who he met at the Blue Whale that night he had a few beers with his Mom's money. He takes me home to Collinwood. We end up together permanently!  :)

I answer the classified ad that Barnabas has put in the paper, it's for a housekeeper.  Eventually, I'm going to have to help Barnabas in sticky situations.  I become good friends with Willie and even Julia,(even though we both feel the same about Barnabas).

Play opposite:  Barnabas

I of course, would be sitting at the Blue Whale talking to my good friend Bob Rooney (even if he is a Yankee's fan) and just taking this all in.

I'd like to be the new Collins family butler, and Mrs. Johnson's new boss...   I'd be answering the door, hanging around in the drawing room, serving sherry and brandy to everyone--and eventually learning everyone's secrets.

No one would think anything much about me--but every once in a while, enemies of Quentin or Elizabeth might mysteriously disappear...

Alexander Bouchard.  He would arrive at Collinwood during a time in which Angelique is again trying to re-vamp Barnabas, but has a limited amount of time in which to do it.  Alexander Bouchard identifies himself to Barnabas and Julia as Angelique's modern-day descendent and wants to ally himself with them against her.  He explains that his family for generations has been cursed and harmed by her legacy, and he is bound and determined to destroy her once and for all and free her progeny.  He reveals to them what he knows of her weaknesses and does assist them.  However, at the end, Angelique wins because Alexander was not whom he appeared to be.  He wasn't Angelique's descendent - he was her ancestor and mighty proud of all she did, and wanted to make sure she wins.  You should see their family reunions.

I would love to play one of Professor Stokes's university students, learning about the occult through first-hand experience and helping to investigate all of the odd occurrences at Collinwood.

Well, you see, it's 1840, and I am Quentin's mistress.  His marriage is a sham, and he comes to me for love and understanding.  (I am the ONLY one who truly understands him, you see).
(Many is the night he comes to me and I am full of love for him....how else could I have given him so much of myself?)  ROFL.
Anyway, we sometimes take trips to Paris together, where Quentin relaxes - he paints and reads, and  I study piano with Frederic Chopin.  In the evenings, we walk together along the Seine.

And that's pretty much it.

;D

I like to play the part of the cat (Joshua under Angelique's spell) in 1795 or the DS Fly with no lines...Getting the spotlight and never having to worry about reading the teleprompter! ;D

Storyline: 1795.

I live in Collinsport, and I am the other "other" woman in Barnabas' life --his only genuine true love.  I am charming, delightful, and witty. (He likes that in his broads).  He wishes he could marry me, but you know how it is with his stuffy family and their arranged marriages -- just isn't going to happen.  He and I go to chamber music recitals together, and then afterwards we go back to my place.  (Bach really puts him in the mood).

Oh....and I play opposite Barnabas.

lol  playing the fly would be a great roll, but i would be more annoying than the flies we have seen. and sensing barnabas is nervous already, i would give him no peace, continuously buzzing them bangs of his, and i wouldnt be no ordinary sized fly, maybe the size of a bumblebee....Also, i wouldnt mind playing willie in a scene with Barny, or perhaps Roger, and i would deliberately mess up some of my lines, not bad though, maybe skip a line or 2, or say a couple of his lines, and watch him stumble  ;D  would serve him right, cause he sure has put others thru that very mess   :o

Dear Blue Whale Barfly,

A slight correction, Bob Rooney is, unfortunately, a masochistic Mets fan.  (It's too darned easy to be a Yankee fan.  It's like rooting for General Motors over Yugo Motors of the former Yugoslavia!)

However, I would like to be the long lost son of a regrettable "rendezvous" (as America's dad, Bill Cosby, once described one of his own trysts as) between the beloved Mr. Rooney and the soon-to-be chronicled Donna Fridlander.  (A spunky lady who just won't take no for an answer!. )

Bob the Bartender, who stills tears up when he watches Judith Ivey and Steve Martin in "The Lonely Guy."

I always wanted to inject myself into the 1840 story line and warn "Valerie" that Gerard is posessed by the ghost of Judah Zachary. With just a little bit of a "heads up" she could have taken him out in a heartbeat.

I would travel back through time and introduce myself to Angelique as a friend of hers from the 20th century, explaining that we had met in the future, and that she will still be around in 1970. I could easily convince her that I know her quite well with my knowledge of her history. Hopefully she'd take a liking to me and cast a few spells for me. ;D
