Title: The Return of Donnie!!!
Post by: Julia99 on August 26, 2002, 01:35:33 AM
I see Don B in the montage. . .how exciting!  I look forward to his re-introduction .. although I have to admit I found some if it a bit lame. . e.g. Julia getting in a car with him 10 mins after seeing him and screaming. . .that shows a MAN wrote that episode!

POSSIBLE SPOILER...

How true!  Although she "warms up" to Chris eventually,
there is, IMO anyway, a certain reluctance on Julia's part to help him with his unusual affliction.  Barn. has to kind of shame her into it (at first), as I recall.

SPOILERS...

My daughter knows when Chris Jennings comes on she will see the Werewolf, that's her fave! She has her own little Dark Shadows collection of pictures with Chris/Werewolf, and Quentin/Werewolf. Funny!  :D

True and then he abandons the whole idea and she's left alone with the bag trying all by herself to help Chris after the sojourn in 1795. . .she shoulda just seduced the guy. . .perhaps that would've cured is lycanthropy. . .

I was excited to see Don Briscoe(sp?) in the montage too!  It means my favorite storyline is coming up!!

IMO - This is one of the best.  Witches, Werewolfs, Vampires, Phoenix, Ghosts,Time Travel, Gypsies, Curses what more could one ask for???

I also like the introduction of Amy Jennings.  It gives David someone to get into trouble with!

DON BRISCOE/CHRIS JENNINGS!!! BRING EM ON!  [hello]

My favorite part of DS is coming up too.  That's the part I remember from my childhood and of watching DS with my mom. The vampires and Werewolves......anticipating that sexy, good looking QUENTIN too.  :-*

There is a scene during the Leviathan story line, I believe, when Amy is wearing a blue outfit that looks very much like the outfit Denise Nickerson wore in Willy Wonka. That's really when I expect to see her blow up like a blueberry!

I liked Denise the best out of all the child actors on the show. She seemed the most natural. It was unfortunate she didn't have much to do once they got into 1897.

I agree...Off the camera, she has a wonderful sense of humor and you cannot help but like her.

That's great! I still watch it with my Mom too when she comes for a visit. My dad would never let her watch it at their house, so it's the only time she gets to see it.

Having listened to his voice since I posted that, I am going to change my description from slightly raspy to nasal, in spite of the negative connotations that USUALLY has. I stand firm on the sex, sex, sex part though! [pimp]

I don't know I for one like his voice.  I think it's the accents he puts on the words as he speaks.

Don Briscoe's voice makes me laugh. Every time he opens his mouth I grin and have to hold back from laughing. I don't know why. Does this happen to anyone else? It is driving me crazy because I can't pinpoint the reason he makes me laugh. The accent and the pitch of his voice are not it. Someone has got to know. :-/ ?!?

I had read fans picketed outside the dark shadows studios so they brought Don Briscoe back.  Did he leave the series at one time or what happened - does anyone know?

;)  I think his voice is a raspy whisper.  When Don Briscoe played Tom Jennings....I was about to offer him MY neck instead of him biting Julia.

I'm just glad he's back.   :)

Yeah, Don's voice is sumptuous ...

It's like a rich, sultry, satiny pool of warm inviting cream (quick, Ringo, get me the Herb Alpert "Whipped Cream and other delights" album cover with Don in the place of that tired strumpet on the cover).

Like the finest golden vintage of Andalusia ...

Like a luxuriant stream of gilded moonlit honey ...

Boy, am I glad that Don Briscoe the STUDMUFFIN is back on DS!

Jennifer and Kuanyin, you ladies have excellent taste!
