Title: Bringing "vampire mania" into real life
Post by: Josette on July 11, 2010, 07:35:53 AM
CNN had a story that teens have now taken to biting each other - apparently resulting from their craze over vampires, particularly from the Twilight movies.  They had a doctor on pointing out the dangers - all the germs in a human mouth, and if they draw blood, there could even be HIV passed on, and if in the hand it could damage tendons.  It really seems hard to believe that as crazed as they might be over the vampires, they still know that a vampire is a fictitious creature.  I can't imagine them actually acting out that sort of thing.  As popular as Barnabas was back in the day, I certainly never heard of anyone trying to copy that!
