I know that HAA attended an early DS fan gathering and decided that once was enough for him, but has he ever done any interviews in which he talked about his experiences on DS? He was a major player on the show and I'd love to hear what he thought about it.
-
He's on the Ron Barry interview that was added to the rerelease of the Dark Shadows Soundtrack. Humbert was there along with a number of the rest of the cast. That's the only interview I've ever heard of him doing.
-
There was a magazine interview of him done around 1968 which carried the epic title, "Get hip to the Warlock."
At some point in one of the iterations of this list, somebody did post a scan of it, but I don't think it's available anymore. It wasn't all that revealing as I recall, but was a bit of fun from the old days.

I posted that back in the VantageNet days. It wasn't particularly revealing. But if people would like to read it, I'm sure I can track down the scans and post them because I have them on CD somewhere. [ghost_smiley]

I'd love to read it, if it's not too much trouble.
-
I would love to read the article!

Back when I was looking for the picture of the coffin in the Florida museum, I came across a ZIP file of all the articles I had posted on VN. I just have to find THAT CD again, which with me may not be as easy as it sounds. [ghost_grin] But I will definitely find it eventually...
-
Well when ever you do it will be appreciated!

Is it labeled?
-
Craig Hamrick interviewed Humbert back in 2006 for the second edition of his book Barnabas & Company and that material will appear in the new edition, when it's published.
-
Is it labeled?
Labeled? What a quaint idea.
But seriously, I know it's one of eight CDs - and I know where they are - it's just a matter of digging them out and checking the contents...
Craig Hamrick interviewed Humbert ... and that material will appear in the new edition
That's certainly something to look forward to. [ghost_smiley]

Who is working on the book in Craig's place?
-
I'm editing Craig's manuscript with his partner, Joe, and hopefully we'll get it published in the not-too-distant future.
-
That is great Stuart! I thought his partner had said at one time he would do everything in his power to get the new version out. thanks for your endeavor! :) Craig was wonderful man!
-
I believe I read somewhere that HA was living on a yacht and sailing around the world but that was many years ago. Now I'm not sure if I read it or it was a proven rumor.
-
Belated thanks for the feedback! I forgot about the audio interview.
Looking forward to reading the updated version of Craig's book.
-
Is it true he lost a daughter in 2008? I hope that was okay to ask!
-
Dear Taeylor,
Yes, there is a post on Humbert's IMDB page about Jenny's memorial service. So very sad. The individual who posted knew her as a friend-of-a-friend, I guess. He says that Humbert was too ill to attend the memorial service himself.
There is also a long post from the late Craig Hamrick dated 2006 about his interview with Humbert which has yet to be published. Again, very sad, although it sounds as if Humbert's wit was in full form throughout the interview.
Best wishes,
Steve

I was saddened to hear about the death of Mr. Astredo's daughter, Jennifer. In a weird coincidence I just bought the Shadowcon III Memory Book on EBay. It had numerous pictures of her at the event with her father. It made her seem more real to me. they seemed to be having a good time.
