Number is the operative word with regards to those DS seances. The question is which one?
What was the number of seances held during the Series?
What was the largest number of participants at a seance?
What was the smallest number of participants at a seance?
What was the number of male spirts contacted?
What was the number of female spirits contacted?
What was the number of locations used for a seance?
What was the number of successful seances?
What was the number of candles used for all the seances?
-
Forty-two.

Forty-two.
Well, I guess that just about wraps it up. LOL

VAM, I think you've outdone yourself this time: this must be the grand-daddy of all trivia questions!
What was the number of seances held during the Series?
I asked this question once before and I think we came up with about 19.
What was the largest number of participants at a seance?
6, since that's the most Curtis would hire at a time, lol.
What was the smallest number of participants at a seance?
I'm guessing there's a mandatory minimum of two: David and Amy, for instance.
What was the number of male spirts contacted?
6: Quentin, Gerard, Rev. Trask, Pierre Cordier, David Radcliffe, and James Forsythe.
What was the number of female spirits contacted?
8: Josette, Sarah, Beth, Daphne, Magda, Julianka, Carolyn, and Roxanne.
What was the number of locations used for a seance?
I know of at least 3 places: Collinwood, the Old House, and Rose Cottage. If you mean the various rooms in the houses though, I have no idea.
What was the number of successful seances?
How do you define successful? Do you mean the number of times that they actually reached the spirit they wanted to contact, or the times when any old ghost manifested itself?
What was the number of candles used for all the seances?
I don't even want to think about this one, lol! All right, at least 20. By the way, VAM, do you actually have the answers to all of these, or did you just want to challenge us?

8: Josette, Sarah, Beth, Daphne, Magda, Julianka, Carolyn, and Roxanne.

Another one to add to the Female list would be Angelique. In 1970PT, a seance was held in the drawing room at Collinwood to try and find out who murdered her.
BTW, I loved all your answers Prof.Stokes! I knew you'd be the one to answer all these! :)

>>What was the largest number of participants at a seance?<<
6, since that's the most Curtis would hire at a time, lol.
Good one, ProfStokes.
SPOILER...
In PT, on the 6-month anniversary of Angelique's death, there were 6 participants: Sabrina, Elizabeth, Roger, Cyrus, Bruno and Alexis.
But didn't the original seance have 8? I'm thinking it was Sabrina, Elizabeth, Roger, Cyrus, Bruno, Carolyn, Quentin, and Angelique (?).
-
You are correct Prof Stokes in saying that it is a challenge. .. ;)Hope everyone had fun!
Also, yes I just wanted the three locations and not the rooms, etc. If you want to go into detail be my guest... The success of the seance is measured by either making contact or the appearance of a spirit-take your pick.
Midnite, you are right about eight participants for the original 1970PT seance.
-
I'll add Joshua to the list of men contacted and Joanna to the list of women.
Midnite, you are right about eight participants for the original 1970PT seance.
SPOILER...
Hmm, if the number is right then I must've made a mistake with the names because Will was considered a suspect at one point. Maybe Carolyn wasn't there until after the seance was over?
-
Anyone have the episode video tape handy? I guess I had a senior moment...

it was the DS way of dealing with things when things looked bad kinda like Mickey Rooney and Judy Garland would have a dance when they got down in their movies!
jennifer
and Vam these questions can make one's head spin [spin]
