The adult film star died of cancer at 66. His 1975 film The Story of Joanna shot scenes at Seaview Terrace to the shock and horror of the duped owners. In one scene, Gillis and co star Terri Hall walk across the lawn of the manor as an unmistakable Collinwood comes into view!

I remember you mentioning this before, but I don't remember if you said they shot inside the house as well. If so, it would be a hoot and a half for those of us who've been inside to see it. [snow_laugh] Though I suspect it's probably long OOP at this point...

I have a battered VHS of this. I may pick up a DVD 4 the Seaview/Collinwood connection. Im going 2 have another look and see if they filmed inside the house. I recall that Seaviews then owner, NY State Governor Hugh Carey, told the press he was HORRIFIED when he realized who he rented his house to, LOL.
-
There's at least one scene inside the house -- in the ballroom, I believe. [snow_wink]

I think you refer 2 the very sensual nude ballet. Terri Hall had danced with the Stuttgart Ballet Company in Europe prior 2 her porn career.
-
Yeah, which meant I was not the first person to do a nude dance in the house. j/k
-
I want 2 see pics of that, dear, LOL!

He also played Count Dracula in the porn adaptation of the Balderson-Dean adaptation, titled Lust At First Bite.
Or so I'm told. [snow_smileydevil]

Gillis played Dracula twice: In Dracula Sucks & Dracula Exotica. He was also in Through the Looking Glass, a bizarre but seriously scary porn/demonic possession/Alice in Wonderland hybrid. He was superb as the demonic dad, and would have made a great horror star! David
