David Selby will return to Washington, DC, where he played Abraham Lincoln in The Heavens are Hung in Black at Ford's Theatre last year, to participate in a panel discussion on Lincoln at the Smithsonian's American History Museum on Saturday, April 24. The discussion will focus on public perceptions of Abraham Lincoln, and David will present the actor's point of view.

I would love to go as well. Hopefully I will meeting my fellow southerner this year at the fest. I grew up not far from Barter Theatre where he got his start. I can't wait tell him as it will give us something in common to talk about as he signs! :) Then I will run off to the bathroom and scream! [snow_wink]

Good news if you're interested in this event but are unable to attend. It appears that the Smithsonian has been posting video of all the events in the Lincoln lecture series on their web site. No idea how soon they'll have it posted, but it appears that it will be available online.
-
And another detail on this event -- A book signing will follow, and David will be signing copies of his novel, Lincoln's Better Angel.
-
The Smithsonian will not be doing a live webcast of this event; however, there is a chance that C-SPAN could opt to broadcast it live, but that decision will be very last minute. (As you may or may not know, C-SPAN stations broadcast live online in addition to cable and satellite, so, if whatever C-SPAN station it might be on isn't part of your cable package, you can still watch online).
Regardless of whether it's carried live, it will be available online afterward at some point.
Stay tuned. [ghost_wink]
