Title: Jonathan Frid pays tribute to Ron Sproat
Post by: Nancy on November 18, 2009, 06:09:16 PM
Jonathan wrote some more on Ron Sproat and his impact on the character development of Barnabas.  He also talks about being called into the studio to meet with the writers for his input on how the character should be developed.

Thanks for notifying us about this, Nancy. I remember a rather lively ... if not heated ... discussion here some time ago about who was responsible for the creation of Barnabas's character. I'm anxious to read Mr. Frid's comments!

Short but sweet.
I think I recall that JF & Sproat had known each other before DS.

"Ron Sproat was the only person I had known before. We had been students at the Yale Drama School some years back. ... I as a Director, Ron as a Playwright. We crossed paths in our assignments at Yale often."
