Oh, Jimbo - this is a great article! It is done with so much admiration and respect -- for the show itself, for the character of Barnabas and for Frid, the actor. What a delightful treat this Halloween day! Thanks so much, Jimbo. Barnabas Collins, was, indeed, one of the greatest vampires of the 20th century, unique in his angst and self-loathing and ability to make us sympathize with his plight rather than simply fear him and wish him dispatched to the bowels of hell. Adamsgirl I could not have said it any better. Can you imagine how many other writers will be seeking an interview with Jonathan when the Dark Shadows movie comes out? The man is truly a legend and his portrayal of Barnabas iconic.

The requests for interviews with JF have always been pretty intense in recent years so, yes, Jimbo, you are right about how many more will be out there looking for an interview with JF. A mixed blessing for him. On the one hand he likes attention to his website, current activities and the DS stuff but on the other hand, doesn't want to do anything that makes him more likely to have people try to track him down at home! Nancy, here's something Jonathan can do if reporters and others get too pesky when they start coming over to his home: just have someone tell them he's "gone to Bangor for the day on business." It worked like a charm the - ahem - first time he had to use it!
