Title: that was terrifiyng?
Post by: arashi on July 11, 2002, 11:54:04 PM
She said I was handsome! ::guffaw guffaw::

Angelique moves in for the kill! Dressed like an over-conservative French maid. Where did they get that dress?!

Vicki! Look at the bed you are lying on! That might be a big clue as to what time period you're in. That isn't a circa 1795 bed. There's probably an overhead light in there and electrical outlets in every corner. Vicki says "I don't understand!"

And that was how Nicholas defined terrifying?! I understand that Angelique may terrify Vicki, but with all the hubbub over the

DREAM CURSE

made that seem much worse.

Yes, the thought of a mate for ADAM is frightening. Imagine his children.

How was Professor Stokes introduced to the show? I think I missed that episode. Did he just say Damnation?! Elliott Stokes is one of the coolest characters on the show.

Was it an off week in the studio or something? I love Jonathan Frid, but between today and yesterday's episodes....

Barnabas : Vicki has been abducted ::tap tap tap of the cane::

Stew in your own juice? What a disgusting sounding analogy. Ewwwwww.

I love it how people just walk all over Collinwood, breaking and entering and nobody sees it.

Arashi, shortly after Vicki returned from 1795, she found the portrait of Angelique in an antique store and purchased it.  Professor Stokes was also  interested in the painting and went to Collinwood hoping to buy it from her.

Wasn't the dress Angelique was wearing the same as the one she wore as Cassandra/Angelique was aging? It would make sense since she died in that dress and Nicholas probably just put her in the coffin, where she woke up as Vampire Angelique in the same outfit.

Thanks to ProfStokes for the answer to that question. I did miss that/those episodes.

Jennifer, ::laughing:: I'd like to see that movie too. Vampire always sleep too with their mouths partly open to accomodate their fangs.

Lindsey, was that the dress she was wearing? I can't say, I missed those episodes too!

(I'm so naughty!)  ;)

Here's the dress Angelique wore in the coffin...

and the last dress worn by Cassandra before her "death"...

I'm assuming they're the same, the collar and cuffs altered.

Cassandra in it again, this time with her hubby...

Maybe Nicky put Cassangelique on a budget and she had to borrow a few things that the Phoenix left behind.

I remember having an outfit back then where you could add/remove collars, hike the dress up/down, add a belt or not.  You got more mileage out of clothes back then; everyone thought you had an extensive wardrobe by what you added or didn't.

Anyway, Cassangelique was just following what the royals do--reuse, reuse, reuse--or maybe Ohrbach's had a limited line of clothes.

Ohrbach's was definitely NOT the Dolce and Gabbana of it's time, nor the Nordstrom's, for that matter.

More like the K-Mart, actually.  At least the one out here on Long Island was.
