According to his official web site (http://www.davidselby.com), David Selby recently filmed a guest starring role for the upcoming third season of the AMC series Mad Men. He plays Horace Cook, Sr. in "The Greatest Generation." The third season premieres in August. The airdate for Selby's episode isn't available at this time.

Could this lead to a recurring role on the show? I hope so- it's about time one of the DS gang got back on TV on a regular basis!
-
Woo hoo! One more reason to look forward to the show returning.
If it gets renewed for another four seasons (or if it flash forwards again), we may even get to see DS itself on "Mad Men." [ghost_grin]

Oh wow, Mad Men is my favorite series currently on air. The luscious Jon Hamm with the luscious David Selby? How much can one woman take???!!! [love10]
Let's hope they have at least one scene together!

ProfStokes, I believe the creator, Matt Weiner, said that each season would mean a jumping ahead in time!

Getting advance information on Mad Men episodes is a royal pain. I have no confirmation of this, but I thought I'd give folks a heads up that the character Horace Cook, Jr. supposedly appears on this Sunday's episode. Whether that means Horace Cook, Sr., David's character, appears is difficult to say, but you might want to tune in.

Yep, Selby was on the episode that premiered tonight, "The Arrangements." It'll re-air several times over the course of the week.

They tamed his hair with Brill cream, he was almost unrecognizable until he spoke that is... [ghost_shocked]

"Are you drunk?" [ghost_grin]

I wasn't around lately to get the heads up, so I caught this one by semi accident, even though I watch the show regularly. Tuned to the station JUST in time to see the name in the closing credits, so stayed up for the rebroadcast -- guess there's an advantage, after all, to weird sleeping habits while waiting for surgery.
LOL Midnite and Julia99 -- the slicked down hair and the ears were what struck me too. VERY early 60s. Of course, the show IS known for its accurate period details <G>.
Pity it was another "blink and you miss him" role. Then again, with Mad Men, you never know when or if a character might reappear.
