Title: Joan as a bride
Post by: Roland on February 27, 2009, 10:04:54 PM
I just couldn't resist posting this picture of Joan Bennett looking drop-dead gorgeous in a wedding dress - with Mrs. Howell (Natalie Schaefer) of all people standing in attendance behind her.

I don't believe I've ever seen the first photo in row two. And something tells me our resident Bennettphile Luciaphile would have a field day checking out the photos. Thanks so much for alerting us to the site, Roland.

We can pretend that that's her wedding photo to Paul!  Their wedding was probably no where near as extravagant, but let's just pretend.

I love the mantilla--very stylish and very late 1940s!

I saw the Secret beyond the door a few years ago and found it to be very Dark Shadows-ish, down to some of the themes in the plot.  Natalie Schafer is a hoot and has some really way-out lines in it.

I was thinking the same thing about pretending it being Liz and Paul's wedding!  The woman behind Liz could have been her mother.
