Title: Julia is singing my song
Post by: Gothick on January 14, 2009, 05:05:45 PM
Golly, today's screen capture and caption really hits the target.  "If I could only think!" indeed.  Given that Chris seems to be on the point of leaving the room, perhaps the good doctor's sentence should be finished:  "If I could only think, I might remember where I put the prophylactics, Chris!  Chris! Oh, Chris!"

Love the brooch Julia is wearing on this day.  I loved the bangs from the 69/70 period of Leviathan.

Heh, heh!

I think that's Willie, which would mean they're freaking out because Barnabas was fashionably late in returning from 1796.

Why, Midnite, you're right!  Which means that not only is my brain gone, but my eyes are no longer functioning either.

Oh well...

cheers, G.

Hee!  At first glance, I thought it was Harry Johnson, which gave a whole new meaning to Julia's expression...

perhaps i'm just imagining this but during leviathan i could swear julia and/or elizabeth wore brooches or some other pieces of jewelry that looked like snakes.

which i thought was some sort of symbolism because the leviathan alter had snakes on it and wasn't the creature itself supposed to be snakelike?

at any rate i love that regardless of what else is going on everyone is always properly accessorized.the ladies of collinsport had their priorities!

Liz did wear a coiled-snake brooch--really the height, the summit of Park Avenue elegance--when she was under the thrall of the Leviathans (aka LeviaLiz, as I like to call her).  It was stated in a couple of scripts that people wore naga (snake) themed jewellry as a means of recognizing one another in the cult.

indeed...

liz was often at her most immaculately turned out during this era.

as i recall when she asked an
(supposedly)unconscious paul stoddard "what would have made you think, even for a minute, that i wanted you back?"
she was dressed, coiffed and jeweled to perfection which made an already virtuoso scene that much more creamy!

and although it seems disloyal to the massive beehive liz wore during the early years i think i liked "levializ's" hairdo the best.

After all, one can't throw propriety to the wind just because all hell is breaking loose.  [snow_wink]  Perish the thought!!

So what Julia is really saying is, "If only I could think...which cheek?"
