Title: DS characters wearing the same clothes

You know I have really never paid much attention to what most of the actors wear on DS. Today however I was watching, I believe episode 165 and I noticed that the outfit that Caroline was wearing was also worn by Elizabeth in a previous episode. It was a suit with a matching top, coat and skirt with little diamond shaped patterns in it. Has anyone of you ever noticed something like that before on DS? If it happened once I'm sure that it had happened before.

That's great! I knew that there had to be another example. I just wish I could remember what the episode was where Elizabeth was wearing the outfit that Caroline was wearing. Oh well, I know that it is some where between 1 and 165.

I think there's an orange/floral diaphanous nightgown that gets passed around between the woman as well, also a trench coat.

poor besty durkin inherits some of alexandra moltke's more unfortunate castoffs...jeff clark,a lame storyline,and some of vicki's old duds.
costuming sprung for a few new things for betsy but she definitely got the blue coat with the yellow lining vicki often wore but because she was several inches shorter than alexandra was it was too big.
i believe she also got the well passed around floral nightgown ensemble(the ingenues all got it)that arashi mentions.

Funny this topic is here today. When I saw the topic line, I presumed it was about today's capture--from a scene in Leviathans I don't recall at all (bad, bad Gothick--still, it's an excuse to watch DS again!). Is Carolyn wearing one of Vicki's old dresses here? It looks strangely dowdy and out of place on her.
In real life, when somebody shows up wearing clothing that belongs to somebody else, it's usually a sign that the two people are sleeping together. One could get a lot of mileage out of exploring THAT twist with the revolving wardrobe stuff on DS.

Bad, bad Gothick, indeed!! [yikes] Especially when one considers that the scene contains one of the very few references ever on DS to a certain upcoming holiday...

this was during the great "brewster's" subplot of 1969/70...
i believe that the newspaper announced that "brewster's" was open late until christmas.
funny during leviathans they actually started to acknowledge that david was in fact "growing up" only a few months later during the gerard storyline to have him revert to a "child" with a nanny and a playroom and a dollhouse.strange.

i was watching an episode last night that i had never seen before.
it's at the start of the quentin storyline and carolyn and chris jennings go to the blue whale for a drink.
instead of the usual bartender there is some sort of waitress/barmaid on duty(she'll meet and unfortunate fate later on but that's beside the point).i swear she is wearing maggie's old blue waitress's uniform.costuming must have decided to get a bit of use out of this long forgotten garment from another time on the show.
indeed with her short blond hair this gal is a dead ringer for early maggie evans.
