The recent WB DVD release of MGM's "THE PICTURE OF DORIAN GRAY" includes a wonderful commentary track with Angela Lansbury, and Anita Bolster's character actress work in the film is noted by Ms. Lansbury at about the 1:22ish minute mark. Just thought I'd let y'all know.

Hmmm - I'm obviously going to have to rewatch the movie because I watched it Halloween night and I didn't even recognize her. And I wondered how in the world I missed her name in the credits - but I see that according to the IMDb she was uncredited as Lady Harborough.

Anita Bolster had a great little role as a sinister housekeeper in a 1940s film I saw last year. I believe Agnes Moorehead was in it too.
She had a surprisingly active career--she keeps popping up in various things from the 1940s through the 1960s.

She is absolutely amazing in a brief role as Esmerelda, the bearded lady in the circus train, in Alfred Hitchcock's Saboteur.
-
And as I mentioned once before, she's absolutely hysterical and steals every scene she's a part of in the 1944 film The Thin Man Goes Home.
