I only got it cuz of D Friedlander's hint, though I actually prefer NCIS, whose characters have respect for the dead, over CSI, which has a nickname for them.  Or something.  [hall2_cheesy]

Hee hee, Gothick.  "Not gumming" refers to Frid still having his teeth.  It's just an awfully awful title to an ageist piece.

I took it to mean he still has some "bite" left.  Frid doesn't mind being old and uses it to his advantage whenever he can.  "Don't hate what you are" is one of his sayings.  He is always looking for ways to stay active and learn new things.  One of the main reasons for his website is to keep active and in touch.
