This fellow who collects antique photos of Halloweens past is posting one per day for the month of October:

Many of them are nicely atmospheric simply by virtue of being B&W or sepia-toned, but some are deliciously creepy. Represented, among other traditional holiday costumes, mostly home-made but also a few early commercially-produced, are pumpkins, witches, ghosts, and even Felix the cat.
