The year has been debated (but remember she was Jane Fonda's roomie at Vassar who also has 1937 as a birthyear). . according to IMDB, today is Lara's bday

My Dear!  How very KIND of you to wish our dear Lara a happy 71! *wink*

My own Mom was born in Nov. of 1937, about one month later than Lara.  It's very weird to think of my mom as a month YOUNGER than Angelique Collins!

Happy birthday to our ageless Angelique.

My mother, too, was born in 1937, September 6, to be exact.  As you all know from previous posts, she is no longer with us, but I am glad Ms. Parker is healthy and well and still here for all of her fans.  And she looks GREAT!!

I've been seeing Lara Parker off and on (in the flesh) for about two decades now, starting at some DS Festivals in NYC.  She has always struck me as she did when I first laid eyes upon her on television all those many years ago--a spectacularly beautiful woman.  And in the last couple of years, she seems to have gained an extra beauty, a kind of peacefulness in her face that makes her smile even more radiant.

Happy Birthday to her!  I was taught that a woman never gets any older than 29.  So I wish her a Happy Twenty-Ninth Birthday!   [128]

in honor of LARA PARKER'S birthday, i have added a vintage D.S. event video to my youtube page. exactly 20 years ago tomorrow, OCT 30th, 1988, the dark shadows fan club of southern california held a halloween/slightly belated birthday party with LARA in attendance! she watched clips from the show with us and using a "picture in picture" effect i superimposed her image onto the screen so u can watch her watching and reacting to the clips shown. she treated us to comments and the "house of cards" story. then we presented her with a lovely gift and cake. we also introduced her to RICHARD HALPERN'S niece, her name is ANGELIQUE! the entire video is available. for anyone interested email me directly JAYTEEVIDEO@YAHOO.COM
