Title: Marley Shelton's ('04 Vicki) New CBS Series
Post by: Mysterious Benefactor on October 10, 2008, 04:15:57 AM
How quickly I forget posting this:
'04 Pilot's Vicki Cast In New Pilot
I didn't even realize that Marley Shelton is one of the stars of CBS' new series Eleventh Hour (in a very un-Vicki role) until I tuned in to watch tonight. (Buffy fans might also be interested to know that Marc "Dull as dishwater" Blucas guest stars. Surprisingly, he wasn't nearly as dull as he was on Buffy.) The series itself isn't bad. It's not great. But it has potential.

LOL, MB, I learned about her involvement from that older post.

I enjoyed the premiere (which probably means it'll be canceled [hall2_rolleyes]).  The doc and his handler are interesting, and the science aspect was unnerving enough to be as well.

I just hope no one learns CPR technique from last nite's show, ugh.

(And I probably enjoyed seeing Blucas decked by Shelton a bit more than I should have.)

I'm close to the end in watching the premiere ep of the British version of this series on BBC America (with Patrick Stewart as Hood!), and I'm shocked that the CBS pilot is a scene by scene, LINE BY LINE copy.  That's just sad!

Ah, now that's how you do CPR.  [hall2_wink]

Hmmm - was DC somehow involved in the CBS version?  [vryevl]

I watched Eleventh Hour and I recorded Life On Mars. I enjoyed LOM more - and it might appeal to DS fans because of its time travel theme. Though I'll continue to watch both because I like Rufus Sewel and Marley Shelton, and I honestly do think EH has potential...

I was wondering why the writing was so good!   [hall2_wink]   [hall2_grin]

I thought the series got off to a good start.  I'll be watching this one.
