Title: The late great Grayson Hall
Post by: scout75 on June 14, 2002, 07:26:09 PM

How cool was her take when Nicholas Blair introduced himself as Cassandra's brother?

Who plays equal parts horror and confusion better than Grayson Hall?

I've always loved the entrance of Nicholas Blair. I thought both Astredo and Hall played it beautifully. Did you notice that Nicholas keeps his eyes on Julia for several seconds when he first enters and is being introduced? Obviously Nicholas was as fascinated by Julia as we Graysonhallics are fascinated by the actress. :)

Yeah, I love NB's entrance, too.  :) :) :)  There are many scenes, before he gets all gooey over Maggie, that are simply priceless because of him.

I think his reaction to Julia is less attributable to fascination, though, than to an elevated sense of who he should be wary of -- I noticed that he watched both Barnabas and Julia pretty closely while everyone was chatting in the drawing room, and he actually posed a couple of verbal challenges to Barnabas, particularly about any recollection he might have of Martinique.

Cheers,

Linda
