Post by: VictoriaWintersRox on June 13, 2002, 01:55:39 AM
For those who have ordered tapes from MPI, how long does it usually take the tapes to reach you? I ordered some tapes on June 1st and am wondering when they should arrive..hte last time I ordered, they came in like 8 days later but it's already been 11 days since June 1st soo..*shrugs*

Whenever I order from MPI it takes just over a week.
If they don't come in a few days, you should call them.

On second thought, I'd go ahead and call them now
or in the morning. They should be able to check the tracking of your order. ?!?

My last order, purchased via credit card, was in my mail box three (business) days after I placed the online order.  I think I paid for priority mail, though.

It depends on how you ordered them sometimes. If I send a personal check, it usually took about two weeks. When I send a money order or use a credit card, it generally took only about three or four business days. I would give them a call though and they can tell you when it was sent out. :)

When I ordered my MPI tapes, I ordered both the Collector's Series and the Original Series all at once, that's about 200 tapes. It took a couple of weeks to get them all. They came in separate shipments. It's great to have those tapes!  :)

Yeppers it is strange. I wonder why they didn't send them out sooner since the site says it should take only 2-3 days for it to send out at the most. Hmm I wonder what is going on up there.

My guess would be that they could be a little overwhelmed with all of the new/recent DS DVD orders, and they might be running a little behind in their shipping dept.

Sometimes the orders take over a week sometimes they are quicker and I did have one lost in the mail...MPI has always been very helpful and its very easy to get a live person on the phone if there's a problem...I just got the Collector's Series from them and the Original Series used on Ebay...I wouldn't get rid of your tapes yet- at 160 eps a year on DVD we are talking 7-8 years until completion...
