Title: The Collectors Series Volume 4 Dianna Millay Interview
Post by: Taeylor Collins on August 30, 2008, 08:03:49 AM
I can't seem to find Goober's review about this volume. He kind of thought Diana was a bit off her rocker if I remember correctly!!  However, I think this line she spoke right here summed up perfectly what she meant the whole time.
"...but then I believe in truly everyting I've ever done that I step out of myself without loosening myself!  And the character enters in."
In my opinion she just spoke of what a GOOD actor does to bring a character to life. Lets the character enter into them and take over.  Diana seems to think Laura and all the other chacaters she portrayed are a part of her and being from a performing background I understand what she means.  My stage persona Taeylor is a complete different entity from my real persona but is still a huge part of who I am.

she still struck me as a wack-a-doo.   but i enjoyed her, though, i was grooving to her beat.

another weird interviewee was Lara Parker.    she's a bit "eccentric" to put it nicely.   although, i understand she is a college professor and i woud probably just love sitting in her class listening to her ramble on.

Don't nobody put down eccentricity while I'm around!   I look on it as a sort of minimum requirement for people.

AMEN!  I like Diana.  She is into reincarnation, wicca and the like.  While Wicca is not my preferred religion I am very open to all religion's.  I love reading about religion. And I personally am drawn to Buddism and Kabbalah. So I guess I am a wackadoo too!  [ghost_wink]

Hey remember emotions don't translate well.  I don't mind if at all if I am a wackadoo!!  So I wasn't offended in the least.  :)

Wackadoo is one word for Diana, LOL!

In 1988 I was one of 20 fans who joined Diana on a three week tour of Egypt.
She was "on stage" for the whole trip, telling Egyptians that she was an actual Phoenix!

She also told us that she was the reincarnation of Queen Nefertiti, who guided her during her 1897 role.
OK!

Wow, what I wouldn't give to have been on that tour!

Nefertiti happens to be  my favorite figure from ancient Egyptian history (along with her husband, who, you could say, were "whackadoos" in their own right [ghost_cheesy]). Could this possibly why I like Laura so much?
