Had to laugh at a couple of DS-related news items today.  The business section of our newspaper had an article entitled "Look into my eyes" with a large picture of two eyes and a bunch of circles (like on a target) surrounding one eye.  Down below was a hand holding a lit lighter!  And the subheading was: "Zippo's ad agency uses hypnosis to home in on customers' desires."

At first I expected it to be about using the lighter for hypnosis!!  It turned out it was for using hypnosis in the focus groups that advertisers use to get feedback on the product.  But the whole thing just seemed SO APPROPRIATE!!

Then, I was reading the crawl on the bottom of CNN and there was a story about a California man (I was wondering if it could be someone here!) who was fined $250 and put on probation for registering his dog to vote!  But - - - what got me - - - was that the dog's name is "Barnabus"!!!!

I totally agree with all of you!   Animals, especially dogs are much smarter than people when it comes to detecting the good people from the frauds.

That was a cute story Josette!  Thanks  :)

The man was trying to make a point about how easy it is to register to vote....fraudulently.

He got caught when "Barnabas" received a summons for jury duty!  :o

At a Dark Shadows Festival I attended, during a Q & A, a woman at the mike stated that she named her son Barnabas, never heard of anyone naming their dog Barnabas, that is funny!

My husband brought that news item to my attention.

He wondered if the dog watched Dark Shadows, too, or just his master since Barnabas isn't a name on the tip of everyone's tongue.

Well, it is at this site but you know what I mean.

Wow, that's too ironic! That's the kind of thing you hang on your wall, and laugh at when you're being bored to tears by <insert least fav/most annoying character's name here>  ;)
