Title: The 120 Second Posting Rule

Hi, I am very new here.  Maybe my issue is covered in this post, but I can't quite figure out what the post is saying.

When I try to PM anyone, the Board says that my last post was less than 120 seconds ago from the same IP.  It always says that, no matter when or if I last posted and no matter what IP I am using.

If that isn't the same issue as above, any suggestions as to what causing this?

I must seem very rude, because I appear to be ignoring everyone's PMs.

This is an issue that's discussed in several different places of this board, but this topic/these explanations from Midnite and myself are probably the most recent:

Though the simple explanation is that 2 minutes need to pass after logging in before you try to submit a post/send a PM, and 2 minutes also need to pass between submitting posts/sending PMs.

I suspect everyone understands that it takes newbies a while to get familiar with the forum's system - especially considering they were newbies themselves once and probably experienced many of the same things that you're experiencing now.  [ghost_wink]

I'll try the 2 minute rule and see if it works.

Also (to re-iterate what's in the problem with postings); if you click 119 seconds & it gives you the less than 120 seconds, you'll have to re-wait another 120 seconds.
