Seeing Mr. Bone's wonderful concept for a Dark Shadows version of Monopoly made me think of the Dark Shadows version of the board game Clue that I created back in 1998 for my friends and I to play on our trips. Several of you have probably already seen it, but for the newbies who haven't, Mr. Juggins has photos of the game uploaded on his fantastic DS FAQ site. A direct link to the page can be found below.
If memory serves me correct, the very first solution to a played game was: Victoria Winters on the Landing with the knife. ;D

Ah, happy days... Bob and I played the DS Clue game once and much fun was had -- I even think I won...
[waits to be told that I didn't] ;)

You're very creative, Bobubas, and your game is very impressive.
Now how many other games are there to which we can give a DS twist?

Prof Stokes? I thought I read you were going on vacation? If you're back, did you have a good time?
Patti

Maybe I'm trippin'.....
But I thought Bobubas did it in in the Drawing Room, by the bar, with the swizzel stick.
But I could be wrong...... ;)

Great game Bob!
I can definitely see playing that game during that fine line between Saturday night and Sunday morning at the Fest, drinks and swizzle sticks and all! ;D

WOW what good fun!!!! :D Did you make that yourself? How did you come up with the idea? Wish I could be as creative. :-/

I don't remember ever playing Clue, but I would definitely play the Dark Shadows version. Great idea Bob! :)

No, Patti, my last vacation was in March. Perhaps you read my reply to Luciaphil's post about her upcoming vacation?
Thank you for thinking of me.

And I fondly remember your vacation in March, ProfStokes. It was good seeing you again and meeting your family! :)

What a great game! I wish these DS games were on the market, I'd buy them in an instant! So creative! :)

LOL What about "Guess Who"?? There are certainly enough characters.....the questions would be really easy, though.....like "Is your person a NB character?" Well that eliminates everyone but 7 or 8. And then "Did she go insane?" Well that's another 4 down, so you've got Carolyn and Melanie and Millicent.......LOL so maybe that wouldn't work, but.....there's enough dif chars!! ;)

My friend Mary (BuzzH on this board if she ever decides to post) was the one who suggested that I make the game. I bring it along on get togethers like the one Stuart(who I'm not sure if he won a game or not ;D) alluded to in his post above. In that instance we had gathered together at Fire Island in anticipation of the Frid Show on Long Island in Nov. of 1998. I did make a travel versionof the game so that the original board and cards would not get worn out from over use. I will probably find room for it ( and my swizzle sticks Minja ;)) in my suitcase prior to leaving for the fest in L.A. , so maybe a late night game that Saturday is indeed in order. ;D Bob

Right on!
Hey, I'll be rooming with Karen #1 and Susan from WV, so I'll volunteer our room as the "game room". Ice chest and blender [beer] will be present! Minja?? Don't forget to bring the orange smoothie mix! ;)
-
BOB!!!!
Check it out! There's your blender provider! WV huh? I bet I can guess who you're a fan of! ;) This fest is looking more and fun as it gets closer!
And it appears I'll need to stock up heavily on the hangover remedy! ;) YeeHah!
BTW K#2, Bob is the Orange Smoothie man! Just beware the 151...eeeek! I just provide the humorous commentary! ;)!

actually, Susan is the one from WV. She's flying to AZ, and making the trek across the desert with me. (although, yeah, I'm a sucker for those tall, lean, long legs and blue eyes from Morgantown, woo hoo! ;) ) and Karen #1 is flying down from Oregon and meeting us there at the hotel. We'll be by the pool by Thursday afternoon, with the little umbrella drinks, if I have my say so! :D

Oh, and I have just the stuff for that! [wow] I'll bring an ample supply of the "Thailand" version of "Red Bull". It's non carbonated, comes in little brown bottles, and is MUCH more effective than the regular "Red Bull".

GREAT. I was wondering where i was going to commandeer a blender from. :P I've already purchased the orange smoothiesso we seem to be all set. :)
Minja has reserved Vickie as her playing piece, and I am always Nicholas, so that still leaves Carolyn, Angelique, Julia, Quentin, Barnabas, and Prof. Stokes for the two Karen's and Susan to choose from. Anyone else here who is planning on being at the fest and wants to join us, feel free to post and reserve a playing piece after Karen_#2 and the other two girls choose from the remaining pieces. ;
Hard to believe the festival is only a month away!! :)

Have you added the "Amanda Harris" and "Sheenasma's bare hands" cards yet?

Cool. I'll go ahead and be Angelique. I have a feeling Karen #1 will be Carolyn, and Susan will be Julia. I emailed them, should have an anser by tomorrow for sure.
Yeah, one month from tonight is the big Sunday night shin-dig! That is, if we survive this game Saturday night (LOL!)

Could I please play, Bob? I'd like to reserve Prof. Stokes.

Of course Amanda. It will be great to have you aboard. :) Bob

I'm just too curious: In DS Clue, who's the victim?
-
If there's a couple of game pieces left, me and JamesLady will play. Is there room for us Bob?

Always room for the two of you Cheryl. ;D In an instant message, Stuart had also expressed interest in playing. We aren't limited to playing just "one game", so the more the merrier. Perhaps we can even play Friday night after the festivities wind down.
In answer to Miles question about whom the deceased is. In the original game of Clue the victim is Mr. Body. In my version it is the overtly curious Mrs. Johnson who has learned a dark secret of the killer, and has been done in by one of our suspects. :) Bob
