WOW!
Based on the writing I've been doing for papers in
San Francisco, San Jose & Florida, the DC based
Washington Blade
has offered me my own weekly column!
The Blade is DC's gay & lesbian weekly.
It's known to have Congress & Senate people among it's readers & has a circulation of six figures!
I'm to be their new TV critic/journalist.
Naturally, I'll continue with my long standing tradition of mentioning DS every chance I get!
Time To Party,
David

David,
Wishing you all the best in your new job. Congratulations!

Congratulations David!
How about a review of the upcoming DVD releases? All the best.

Sally, for next Halloween, I'm going to do a column on why
DS has such a strong fan base in the gay community.
I may contact people who posted at the gay thread here
to get permission to quote them.
A paragraph on the DVDs might be a good way to end the story, thanks.

So does this mean that your lifetime dream of joining the ranks of Harry Reems and Colton Ford will have to be put on hold because you won't have enough free time to explore it? [snow_huh]
-
Unfortunately, MB, Harry found the Lord.
But I can still collaborate with Colton~~
would my readers know it was me from the printed page?
Only if I starred in Deep Shadows!

I have to confess that a campy version of DS, patterned after A Very Brady Movie doesn't interest me in the slightest. (In fact, I think it would be a huge detriment to the franchise. The Brady Bunch was a comedy, so it lent itself to that type of takeoff - but DS was rarely intentionally funny, except for the moments when characters tried to skewer each other with biting wit.) But if DS was to one day hop onto the growing trend of legitimate dramatic films that also happen to feature graphic sex, well, that might be interesting. Just picture "those nights" in Martinique - ROBINV's fantasies come to life! [lghy]
But now I've gone way OT into territory suited for a totally different topic...
-
I've been thinking for years, MB, that I'd love to see a DS movie that began in 1794(yes, 4) in Martinique.
A few steamy beachfront scenes between Barnabas & Angelique (think Kerr/Lancaster in From Here to Eternity)
would be
HOT HOT HOT!!!!
