Title: OT -- Cinematography Question
Post by: Patti Feinberg on January 28, 2008, 03:37:50 PM
Hello all.

I'll put this question on cinematography on the Testing Board, because I'm sure it's a computer type answer.

In alot of newish horror type movies, there's a cinematographic move...hmm....

The ghost or whatever will rapidly move (and there's usually a whirring type noise associated). When I say rapid, I mean uber rock.

The first movie I notice it in was the 2001 remake of "13 Ghosts" with Tony Shaloub.

I've since noticed it more (actually, it seems to be quite frequent).

Can someone tell me the name of this technique?

Thanks,

Patti

I'm not sure if there's a technical name for it, or even a slang name as I'm not in the field, but it was also used in the House on Haunted Hill remake a few years prior.
