The way they treat their "newborn"!
1st, Julia chases him with a hypo full of meds to knock him out :o once he's born er, I mean created.
Then place his dim-witted Willie of all people, to be his guardian. Who then goes on to burn his brother with a cigarette!
Hey, I know Adam cries and whines alot :'(, but really...LOL!!!!!!

Adam and Willie are in some of the funniest scenes in the show now all we need is Harry and Bruno to add to the fun! ;D

Julia and Barnabas are both undeniably cruel not only to Adam but to Willie as well.
It looks to me as if Barnabas is just as much of a cold-hearted monster as he was when Willie first let him out of the coffin. Now I can understand his initial treatment of Willie, a no-good, two-bit drifter who went grave robbing one night and ended up getting turned into a willing thrall. But Barnabas has been "cured," supposedly, so where does he get off treating Willie like a slave?
Not to mention Julia - who does she think she is bossing Willie around like that, and threatening to have him committed for LIFE at the asylum if he doesn't obey their orders???
It seems to me that Willie should go straight to the police and let them in on some of Julia and Barnabas's secrets.

As there doesn't seem to be any legal probation or anything holding Willie to the authorities (as well there shouldn't be--the guy never even got a trial), and the supernatural hold is gone as well, in the same situation, I would have been out of there so fast (and then I would have placed the call to the appropriate authorities).
What I still don't get is why they found it necessary to keep Adam at the Old House. It's not like anyone's going to conclude the truth. Julia works at a frigging mental hospital where they presumably have the staff and a cafeteria and the people to look after him. If Frick and Frack there did it properly, there is no reason that Cassandra should know word one about it.
But then we'd have no story.
