Is it just me? I can't see the slideshow on either IE or Netscape. It just comes up as "undefined."

DS never ran an episode on Christmas Day, so there aren't any eps available for a slideshow (hence the "undefined"). However, a new slideshow will appear at 7pm ET / 4pm PT today for the 12/26 eps. [santa_wink]

Well, MB, if you ain't just the dickens! I totally forgot all about that! Maybe we could come up with a fun "scavenger hunt" for this time next year - try to find, if any are available, on-line stills of the programs that preempted our DS for the slideshow.
Gerard (Who's still living in a sea of opened boxes, torn gift-wrapping, instructions-for-assembly and other second-day-of-Christmas carnage.)

So, the slideshow is of the episode for "today" in each of the five years DS was on?
Just find a mouse, Gerard?
-
As a matter of fact, I did, Magnus!!!! I use a mouse-trap in my basement simply consisting of a bucket filled with water. The thirsty mice check in for a drink and end up in that happy hour in the sky. Empty the bucket outside (where crows take care of the "left-overs") refill the bucket, reset the trap. Voila!

That is simply cruel. Couldn't you fill the bucket with claret cup instead of water?

it would be cool to try and find out what pre-empted d.s. on christmas day.
soap operas are always handled strangely on holidays.for instance this year "the young and the restless" aired it's christmas episode...from 1994!
the furs!the jewelry!the hairdos!
then they did something really weird i've never seen on a soap.as the 'newman' family toasted each other with egg-nog the actors actually "broke character",turned to the camera, and wished the viewers a happy holiday.weird. [a_xmas]

Unfortunately, it was never for anything that special. According to the DS Program Guide:
1966: Christmas was on a Sunday, but DS was still pre-empted on the 26th for football. [santa_angry]
1967: Football
1968: Basketball
1969: Basketball
1970: Basketball
I suppose someone could lookup the games to see if any of them were actually exciting. But I can't say I'm all that motivated to do it. [santa_grin]

Christmas wasn't reason enough to pre-empt?
In the 60s, Dr Who actually had a moment where they turned to the camera and wished everyone merry Christmas. It's murder for fans trying to work it into "canon".....
