We know about Barney and Angie's affair in Martinique and Josette and Jeremiah in 1795..but did anyone else ever have sex on this show? Vicki was too chaste to do it with Burke. Heck after their wedding did Vicki even have time to do anything with Jeff/Peter?

Ah, yes, who could ever forget the watery apparition of Harriet? Wouldn't it have been fascinating if we'd ever found out the whole story of why Daniel caused her to fall from Widows' Hill?
Phillip and Megan Todd
We can assume they had sex, but there never was any proof. [lghy]
as did Nathan Forbes....of course Nathan was married to Suki....
Hmmm - and how do we know he wasn't all talk and no action? [wink2]

There are assumptions as to who had sex **before** (e.g. the abundance of off-spring) but who had sex ON DS?? :
Carolyn and Jeb
Catherine & Bramwell
Barn and Angie (hinted at very strongly I admit)
Beth and Quentin
Daphne and Gerard (hey, he was laying atop her!)
anyone else??

I would think Cassandra & Roger have done so by now. Unless of course, she is drugging him everynight.[sleep]

People on Dark Shadows having - gulp - sex? Like we use to say about our parents: they would never do anything like that!
Gerard
-
The only thing I can add is: I certainly hope so...
Birdie

I always suspected that Carolyn and "Buzz" were "doing it", but they never actually say...

This fall into the category ... what you always wanted to know about Dark Shadows but were afraid to ask. Or love among the shadows. [blshy]
The only two couples I can think of off-hand who definitely had made love during the run of DS were Carolyn/Jeb and Bramwell/Catherine. 1795 Barn and Angie had almost without a doubt, been lovers in pre-DS days, so I'm not counting them.
Am I forgetting someone?
Incidentally, this is one aspect I miss about classic film and television; the romantic subtlety they used in love scenes, leaving so much more to our fertile imaginations. There were many scenes in DS which sizzled with romantic and erotic tension. Quentin/Beth and Catherine/Bramwell, to name only two, but there are many more!
Happybat, ever the romantic :-*

Silly me...I should have added to my post Did Anyone on DS ever have sex on the show or on screen?
One I can add, at the end of the 1840/41 storyline Quentin rescues Daphne from the locked bedroom and he MOUNTS her right away and sends her to the bed - they showed this and that was one of those late 60's/early 70's Cut-Away Assume they're doing it deals, just like lovers would kiss in front of a fireplace and then fall to the floor and the camera would pan the fireplace.

;)
Alas, my guess here is that he is sleeping the sleep of the heavily sedated each and every night. There's a great scene sometime in the future where he and Cassandra are playing chess. She is distracted (probably because she would much rather be with Tony, Barnabas or just possibly any other man on the planet but him). Roger twits her about that. She acts surprised, implies that they are doing what he likes to do, just like always. He says something snarky to her, the exact sentence I can't recall, but it's something along the lines (more elegantly expressed though very snarky) of "we don't do what I would like to do every night."
In answer to Thom's question, no, we never see anyone having sex. I think the closest we get to it is Catherine and Bramwell and even that's just implied.

I guess we won't know for sure about some things, but it is fun to speculate. I do wonder about Roger and Cassandra - my bet is also that she kept him at bay. Another couple I've wondered about, from 1897, is Judith Collins and Tim Shaw. Towards the end of that story he comes to her assistance in a big way and I've ofter wondered if a relationship didn't develop from that.

My, oh my, how in the WORLD did I miss this? Just reading about it, makes me....well, let's just say it is a good thing I am "master of my domain!" (Or a bad thing dependant on your perspective!)

Do dreams count? I can't remember who it was, but I think it was Daphne having a dream about Gerard, and they were on a bed, all lovey dovey, sexual prelude.

(brrrr) Sky Rumsfield (or whatever his name was) from the Leviathan period.
Then again, who cares about him anyway? ;)

Yeah I remember during 1800 PT Bramwell and Catherine had done it and she was lying on the bed and Bramwell was well...cleaning himself up( ya know, fixing his shirt and the like). Accually they had just DONE IT but the DS writers were insinuating the whole concept of Doing it...
Birds DO IT! bees DO IT! Even educated fleas DO IT! Why don't we all just fall in love?

I thought what he did to Maggie's hairbrush was just as bad. Yick! :P Does that count?
-
Mother of pearl....what did he do with Maggie's hairbrush?????!!!!! Just putting it like that makes it sound incredibly perverse!
(I've never seen that part of the show....don't even know who the character is.)

It sounds and is incredibly perverse, mainly because John Yjust personifies perverse. In one notable scene took PT Maggie's hairbrush and (ahem) licked it.
He also had some other interesting encounters with her beads as I recall.

So, basically, what you're telling me is this John Yeager makes Willie Loomis look like a boy you'd want to take home to Mother?
So maybe it's really MAGGIE who's a little "strange", attracting the type of men she does? :P

Yup. Yeager made Willie look like a choir boy [angl]

r (again)
Actually, Maggie couldn't stand him. He tied to come onto her once, and she dissed him. That's when he nabbed the brush for his "little fantasies" [crazy]. He cornered her on the docks one night and tried to "have his way" with her, but she got away. He made a little gesture with his fingers after that which was pretty gross [puke]. This guy was a freak!

One day I decided to try and watch a current soap opera. I had never ever bothered with any of them. So I turned it on and on the screen was 2 very handsome, muscular men. One blonde and one brunette. They looked alike except for the hair color. Well I though. "How nice". And was BORED in about 2 seconds. Yet......I could look at Barnabas, Joe, Willie and Roge all day. When I saw John Karlen at last years festival and stood close to him. I though I would faint :D Could not take my eyes off of him ?!? ?!? Star Struck, In love, what ever, it was fun!!!!!! ;) ;) What I am trying to say is, I do not think DS needed sex. The implication was enough. The characters had sex appeal ;)
-
I always suspected that Carolyn and "Buzz" were "doing it", but they never actually say...
I thought that too! OMG and then I felt soo bad for thinking it, because the conversation went:
Roger: How far are you going to go with this?
Carolyn: As far as I have to *evil cackle*
Roger: ....how far is that? <the man was obviously thinking the same thing I was!!>
Carolyn: All the way!!! We might even get married!!!!
I was like MARRIED!?!? OMGGGG!!!! I felt like Millicent saying 2 Nathan, "I had no idea your intentions were so honorable!" LMAO!!! It happened like three or four times, too....I was like "GOSH I have a dirty mind!" ;D 8)
I always love the "did they/didn't they" debate....hehe ask anyone who watches SAMK that and they'll never stop talking!!! HAHAHA That's where I get it ;)
-
So, basically, what you're telling me is this John Yeager makes Willie Loomis look like a boy you'd want to take home to Mother?
Pretty much, yeah. Actually he makes Willie #1 look like a choir boy. He makes Karlen's Willie look like St. Francis.
So maybe it's really MAGGIE who's a little "strange", attracting the type of men she does? :P
Raineypark
As this is PT Maggie (who I will admit is pretty clueless) not really a fair assessment of RT Maggie ;)
