Thanks for the link to the review. I haven't seen Frankenstein myself, but am curious about it now. I have seen Curtis' other made for TV monster work and was generally entertained by them. I absolutely LOVE Hammer's Curse of Frankenstein (mentioned in the article) and have seen Kenneth Kenneth Branagh's more sympathetic Dr. Frankenstein so it'll be interesting to see the a different take on this.

This looks so good, I'm gonna have to pick it up one of these days.

Did Curtis do any more horror flicks besides this one which aren't in the Macabre Collection DVD set?

One that I encourage you to see at least once is Scream of the Wolf.  You'll get Peter Graves and JoAnn Pflug, a Richard Matheson script, a touch of suspense every now and then, some unintentionally amusing scenes, 70s flashbacks (!!), and James Storm (!).  (Other DS moments include the oversized small-town police force and their mysterious use of windshield wipers when there's no rain in sight, hee.)  Though some might, I can't say I recommend you purchase the DVD, but SotW is fun to catch when it shows up on cable.

Isn't that the one with Clint Walker?  If so, I saw it on Fox Movie channel a few months ago- very interesting.

Yes, it is Charles.  I recently rented the flick for my mother who adores Clint Walker.
