Dictionary.com lists onomancy as divination by name, but for a long while it was believed to be divination by donkey.

Donkeys do that?  Are they in fact helpful in that way?   I hope they don't have to exhibit entrails, 'cause that hurts. 

It sounded like the equivalent of numerology, only with letters.    Several Yoko Ono albums of mine were of no help whatsoever.
