The Museum of Television and Radio in Los Angeles hosted a Cagney and Lacey reunion on April 30 to mark the upcoming DVD release of the first season of the series. (http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/B000NDEXO8/criseydsdarkshad) John Karlen's name did not appear on the original guest list for the event, but he was there. Helen Mirren also dropped by to show her appreciation for the series. Photos are posted on WireImage.

Thank you for the links. JK looks terrific!

BTW, the event was sold out well in advance. The MTR usually posts video from these events on their web site; however, based on what I've read, I don't think that Karlen actually participated in the panel discussion. :(

:o
Didn't Karlen win an Emmy for this show?
Why are they dissing him?

He did, but the angle of the discussion was probably how it was groundbreaking for women in television.

OMG! Thanks for posting this!

Yes, thanks very much... I was the first to post these links to the Yahoo C&L group I'm in--- and made a point of mentioning it was a Dark Shadows fan who shared them!
I pre-ordered and after the whole issue of the postponed DVDs which were quickly UN-postponed, now happily expect delivery in the next week or so.
As a last non-DS related announcement relating to C&L, there's this from B. Rozensweig's assistant::
"Sharon Gless and Tyne Daly and Barney Rosenzweig will be in New York on May
14th and 15th. Yes, they appear on THE VIEW on Monday, May 14th.
They are also signing the new DVDs on Tuesday, May 15th from 12:30 to 2:30
at the Barnes and Noble Bookstore at 555 Fifth Avenue at 46th Street.
And, Barney Rosenzweig will also be there to sign his new book, Cagney &
Lacey...and Me"
Wish I could go, but thanks to al the lay-offs we're too short on help at work to take a day off for anything less than a major crisis.
