Of course, I'm sure there are tons that I have left out, but I didn't feel like listing 40 names! lol. I figured that list would give everyone a good start.
What I'm aiming at here is that there were a number of different time periods during which our characters lived. And while the characters may have been the same in some time periods (i.e. 1960s Barn and 1897 Barn), they were different as well, in their actions. Because we all know that 1960s Barn, being the way he was after he was cured, would've never committed the atrocity against his family that he did in 1897.
The idea was sparked as I was watching the last of the Leviathan episodes last night, and I realized that 1970 Angelique, the one who was Mrs. Rumson, was really one of my favorite of all her incarnations over the years. Her outfits, hair, jewelry, wardrobe in general is spot on, and really adds something to her. I get the image of "rich suductress" who will kill anyone in her way. Her "supposed" life gets turned upside down with the mention of one word: Leviathans. And the arc that she goes through with her life taking a dump and her revenge path, is one of the best, IMO.
So: My favs from the list above are 1970 Angelique, 1960s Julia, and 1795 Barnabas.

Any version of Barnabas is tops with me!

I'm with you regarding the gals, but I like the 60s Barn best.

i agree that 1970 angelique was one of her best incarnations and certainly her most gorgeous.
before this we either saw her in historical costuming(1795,1897)or her bizarre 1968 ensembles as cassandra collins and her sugar-plum-fairy-from-hell getup as a vampire.
here she looks like a rich trophy wife.very chic.i like the idea of her modeling in new york and getting on with her life rather than just lurking around collinwood waiting to get kicked out.
however there was one thing about the timeline here that didn't make sense to me.when julia first meets mrs.rumson she learns that she has been married six months(and presumably living in new york for some time before this).but six months before this the plot was set in 1897 and angelique was actively there.so how much time was supposed to have passed in these few months?

Did everyone forget Mrs. Rumson's "Swiss Miss" braids?

Hee hee. I wish I could!
-
Who could forget those braids? Maybe someone should've handed her a plad skirt and had her stand on Widow's Hill screaming RICOLLA!!!!!
Too much? :D

I forgot to reply to mscbryk. :)
I didn't pick up on that timeline faux pa, but it's probably just another one of those DS conundrums. Unless, of course, you choose to believe that when
Barnabas went back in time to 1795 AGAIN when the stories were transitioning from 1897 to the Leviathans, that he was, in fact, there for 6 months instead of one or two days.
But then, stranger things have happened, haven't they?

I like all versions of Barnabas, Angelique, and Julia, with a particular fondness for PT Hoffman and 1897 Angelique. 1897 A had her hands in so many fires, so to speak, loved her with Petofi and Laura. [firedevil]

In addition to Brandon's theory, I'll offer that Angelique and Barnabas didn't return to a present time through the same means (he, I believe, had help from the Leviathans, and she from Diabolos), and though we know that Barnabas returned (hauling the "Leviathan leader") in late 1969, we really can't pinpoint when it was that Angelique arrived from 1897. I read a theory by Joeytrom that she was returned to a point in time that was not long after she was sent to 1796 (only to be burned by Ben). This theory works for me because it gives Angelique enough time-- a full year-- to become a successful model, meet Sky, and be Mrs. Rumson for 6 months. This would make Angelique's timeline (ignoring 1840 for now):
1795 ---> 1968 ---> 1796 ---> 1897 ---> 1969
How does that work for you?

1795 Angelique was pretty awesome-- so seemingly all-powerful. The Leviathan-era Angelique was very different, but cool also. Barnabas at the beginning of the Leviathan era was good too, as he was so different from him in other settings
