"And if you act right now, we'll throw in two great deals! First, we'll throw in those longed for comfy blue-sheets! Appearing on nearly every bed every seen in Dark Shadows, they are sure to house wonderful extras, including, but not limited to--actors skin, actors hair, taboo fluids, and much much more!! All you have to do is give us your house!
"And, if you act within the next 2 1/2 seconds, we'll also throw in that hideous skirt that Maggie Evans wore! You know, the one that looks like she wrapped a blanket around her waist! All you need to pay is $500 in shipping and handling costs!
"Call right now, because if you are the first 0.05 caller, then we'll also give you a picture of Adam's green sweater that you'll treasure for ever!
"Just to be clear, you get the long-sought after Afghan, for only $275 AND your first born child; the comfy blue sheets in exchange for your house; Maggie Evan's ugly a** blanket skirt for $500; and a great keepsake picture of Adam's green sweater if you are the first 0.05 calller! You couldn't find a better deal anywhere!"

Funny thing is, my Mom had an afghan exactly like the one in DS! Don't know what ever happened to it....
-
I made several of those in the 70's just like it

I do believe the Ronco Chopper Blade comes with the afghan - which slices, dices, and otherwise turns your dearest friends into
meatloaf. AND! If you call within the next ten minutes, you can get the complete set of Bobby Vinton's greatest hits. "She wore bloooooooo velvet....."
-
Yes you too can get the blue sheets, but only if you promise to match them up with an orange comforter set!
-
Can you say "Cha...cha...cha...chia! ;D

Chia Pets might be better suited as a tie-in for Michael T. Weiss (Joe/Peter in the '91 series) and his series The Pretender because in the 2nd Season episode "Bulletproof" Weiss' character Jared discovered Chia Pets:

You guys are all certifiable
[crowdhappy]
I guess that's why I've always felt so at home around here!
-
You guys are all certifiable
And at least most of us have had the good sense to never claim to be otherwise. [b003]

... Speaking of the Afgan ...
Who knows the episode the Afgan makes it's debut performance???
<I hope someone knows - I don't have a clue.>
I'm rewatching the beginning... and so far I'm up to episode 66 and haven't seen it yet...

Caller #.05... hey I'm fast, I think I can manage that.
The trick is to be certifiable, yet to avoid the actual certification! So many of us, after all, have a terrible curse the world will never understand, that the world would lock us away for were they to find out. It can happen so easily. You have a fling in Martinique, you strangle your wife.... life can be so unfair. But we're all here to console each other, and to offer a comforting basement to hide in until the heat's off. I love us.

No, the trick is to be certified and then get taken to Windcliff, so you can escape anytime you want.

You're right there, Magnus! LOL! ;D

I wouldn't mind having to hide out in the basement for a while.....not if some of your art work was hanging on the walls, Magnus. I've SEEN your art work...... ;)

Primo plug! I'm sending you on the talk show circuit. You'd get a cut if there were something to cut.
Besides the URL in my signature, there's a second blog now, of not so G-rated material. I can PM the URL if anyone wants to take a look. I figured I might get into trouble in some unanticipated way if I just gave it out right here. Come on, this is my only source of validation.

You wouldn't get into trouble. The forum's often stated policy is that we don't police URLs. People are free to ignore them or check them out at their own risk. [wink2]

Thanks MB--- I'll still wait to be asked, so as not to seem to be foisting this material onto people.
