Title: Big Finish freebie?

Today in the mail I recieved one complete episode ( one cd) of Sapphire
& Steel audio drama. All the invoice spoke of was the 2 DS audio Drama
coming out in November which I purchased. It said they are to follow.
The norm in a case like this I would think would be for it to say
something like, Hey! If you like this sample- here is how to get more.
Has anyone else gotten something like this?

Yes.  On the CD itself is something about it being a promotional copy.  Otherwise, like you said, there's no explanation.

But you can order from the series here:  http://www.doctorwho.co.uk/sapphireandsteel/index.shtml  The director (Jason Haigh-Ellery) of the episode represented Big Finish at the recent Festival.

Oh good. I hadn't opened the cd yet. Thinking I might have to send it back.

I also got this CD in the mail with my invoice for the second two DS audios. I haven't listened to it. I'm afraid too, because if I like it too much I'll want the following episodes, and I don't need all that! lol.

I should've mentioned there's a mail order form on the back of each invoice, though listings are by series and not individual installment.

Big Finish occasionally issues free promotional discs for its ranges.  The Sapphire & Steel CD sent to Dark Shadows subscribers is one of these free samplers.  Our existing customer base is used these CDs are issued regularly and so that audience is familiar with the set-up.  In retrospect, this  mailing should have included some written explanation, which we'll make sure is included if we do this again.
