Title: Certain Codes
Post by: Jackie on September 17, 2006, 12:02:53 AM
I have a question for the Moderators or anyone who knows as much as G-O-D !   ;)

Last night, I was writing up a description with a spoiler in it and couldn't find the right button that added the codes for "spoiler".  I even looked in the Help section on this site.  I couldn't find any explanation on how to highlight and add the code for a "spoiler".  I don't see any quick reference or an button that will add that code to the text if one forgets or doesn't know the code to begin with.  I like highlighting my text, clicking the appropriate button that adds the codes for me and then going on.  Is there one for "spoiler" that I'm overlooking?

Oh, I know how to do it now because I clicked on a message, as if I was going to quote that message, and looked at someone else's message codes. That's when I found out I type brackets around the word spoiler, then type the text, ending with brackets around / spoiler.  That hides the part of the text that's the spoiled information.

dsbarnfan....good for you seeing how by 'quote'.

Long, long time ago (I think) there was a 'button' like the ones for bold and strikethrough.

Also, if you're showing code (and mucho thanks for Midnites diligence & patience with this), you can:

Code: [Select]
this shows which code you mean, it's bracket, the word code, bracket, etc.
AH, very good.  Thanks.  So the code button is the one labeled #, right?

Which means, of course, that if I had a clue, I could find it on my own computer..... :-[

If you can see the font, you've got it.  ;)

Fonts are in your Control Panel, not that you have to find them to use 'em.  Just quote the post that has a font you like and plug the name you see into font code in your own post.
Code: [Select]
Text
