I know this was mentioned on the DS News Page awhile back, but I finally got around to watching the film Brick. It's a clever nod to the classic film noir detective stories, but it's set in a high school environment. Brick stars '91 DS' Joseph Gordon-Levitt. Lukas Haas is also in the film as "The Pin" and his appearance is quite reminiscent of Frid's Barnabas as channeled through the body of a teenager with a clubfoot! I'm SURE this was some kind of in-joke on the director's part, or maybe Levitt suggested it since he was in the '91 series. At any rate, there's definitely a nod to Barnabas Collins in Haas' look. Worth a watch. It's a good movie.

I've seen it too, and it's very, very good--a sort of high-school noir. Both of them really shine.

Lukas Haas also appears as a soldier in the opening sequence of LINCOLN!

Yes, and Joseph Gordon-Levitt appears as the Lincolns' oldest son, Robert.

This is like playing "Six Degrees of Barnabas" or something...

Levitt and Gully McGrath both play Lincoln's sons. Both actors who played David Collins have scenes together.
